River Room was born from a deep connection to rivers, adventure, and community.

We are a space created by by and for people who love rivers and nature... and for anyone who wants to get closer to the river for the first time. Our goal is to make river sports more accessible, inclusive, and human.

Based in Jalcomulco, Veracruz, we are surrounded by some of the most iconic rivers in Mexico. But River Room is not just about kayaking... it’s about creating experiences, sharing knowledge, and building a strong community around the river.

We believe the river is a place to grow:
to build confidence, resilience, and connection... with nature and with others.

Through projects like our Gear Library, training sessions, and collaborations, we aim to open opportunities for more people to experience the river, regardless of their background or access to resources.

This is a small project, built by a few people, but with a big vision: to inspire more people to discover the river, respect it, and become part of it.

At River Room, we are building more than a space... we are building a movement around rivers.

In the long term, our vision is to create events and projects that connect people and strengthen river culture in Mexico and beyond. We aim to organize festivals that celebrate whitewater, community, art, and adventure... spaces where athletes, beginners, creators, and local communities can come together and share.

We also aspire to create documentaries that tell real stories from the river... stories of people, places, culture, and the deep relationship between humans and water. Through film, we seek to give visibility to voices that are often unheard and show a more authentic perspective of life on the river.
